| Main Post Office Pompton Plains, New Jersey Back to project thumbnail gallery Back to Firm Overview CLIENT: U.S. Postal Service PO Box 99911000 Westchester Avenue White Plains, NY 10610-9991 CONSTRUCTION COST:$3,000,000 CONSTRUCTION COMPLETION DATE:1989 DiGeronimo, P.A., working closely with the U.S. Postal Service, designed the new Pompton Plains Main Post Office. The Post Office was unique in that negotiations between the U.S. Postal Service and the Town resulted in the addition of a second floor to the facility, to be leased to the Pompton Plains Board of Education.
Additionally, Pompton Plains required that the post office design be compatible with the architectural character of their town. Thus, DiGeronimo prepared the design in close coordination with the Town as well as with the U.S. Postal Service. |
