Law 41/16 Compliance Program

PB Power was retained by the New York City School Construction Authority for a $4 million program at 30 schools. Scope included analysis, recommendations, design, building department approvals and construction follow up of public assembly space in the school. Accessibility, egress, hardware, emergency lighting system, elevator recall system are included in the evaluation to assure compliance with local laws. DiGeronimo PA is subconsultant to PB Power to evaluate compliance with local laws 41/78 and 16/84 for the schools. SCA needs the Public Assembly Permits for three school spaces – the auditoriums, the gymnasiums, and the cafeterias. Marcello DiGeronimo, AIA is principal in charge of the project and has been expediting the permitting process himself, through SCA Facility Inspection Division (FID). |
