The
work was broken into three groups. The first work group was
involved in primary engineering/internal repair of boilers,
burners, and electrical upgrades.
A second portion of the work involved exterior repairs, roof
work, window replacement and site work. This work can be performed
year-round in good construction weather without spacing construction
time into the school schedule.
The third work group was involved in new classroom additions
and modifications to existing classrooms. This group of programs
would involve the interaction and time consideration of the
school-day and school-year schedule. The work group was divided
between two architectural firms.
The $19 million project was coordinated by DiGeronimo for
the Board of Education without a single lawsuit, without a
single defaulted contractor, and without a single material
failure.
